The data base contains predicted sea level rise extent and depth of inundation layers along the
open coast of New Hampshire, the Piscataqua River, and Great Bay for nine scenarios, as follows:
Mean higher high water + 1' sea level rise (MHHW_1_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 2' sea level rise (MHHW_2_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 4' sea level rise (MHHW_4_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 6' sea level rise (MHHW_6_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 8' sea level rise (MHHW_8_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 1% storm surge + 2' sea level rise (MHHW_FLOOD_2_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 1% storm surge + 4' sea level rise (MHHW_FLOOD_4_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 1% storm surge + 6' sea level rise (MHHW_FLOOD_6_foot_slr_hyconnect)
Mean higher high water + 1% storm surge + 8' sea level rise (MHHW_FLOOD_8_foot_slr_hyconnect)
The four data layers that incorporate the 100-year storm surge event are based on the April, 2014 preliminary Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps
(DFIRMs) for Rockingham County and the September, 2015 effective DFIRMS for Strafford County.
The data set includes interior inundation areas that may appear isolated but are hydrologically connected by culverts, tidal crossings, etc.
Purpose:
The data are intended to provide communities, coastal managers, scientists, and the public with a preliminary assessment
of the extent and depth potential sea level rise.
